The 13 Days / 12 Nights Tour to Morocco Itinerary :
Day 1 : Visit Casablanca – El Jadida – Essaouira ( 377 Km )
Arrival at Casablanca Mohammad V International Airport. Meet Desert Discovery Tours Driver / Guide. Then Start our 13 Days Itinerary in Morocco. We will Visit Hassan II Mosque & Casablanca Jewish Heritage. We will head toward El Jadida where you can have lunch and sightseeing at Portuguese City and Portuguese Cistern. Then Continue to Essaouira ( The pearl of the coast ) where we will spend an overnight at Riad/ Hotel and enjoy the relaxing evening.
Day 2 : Free Morning in Essaouira – Agadir ( 175 Km )
At our Second Day on the 13 Days Morocco tour. We drive directly to Agadir city. We will explore it by foot the labyrinth of streets within the Medina and wander through the souks and workshops of the 30 resident Artisans of the village who create traditional craft ware for specific building and decorative projects throughout Morocco. The village although new has been constructed using traditional Berber techniques and materials to recreate a traditional Medina and market place, a beautiful testament to the Moroccan artisan and not to Disney ! After lunch we relax on the spotless white beach, swim in the blue waters of the Atlantic, camel or horse ride along the beach.
The promenade is lined with chic cafes and boutiques not dissimilar to those you might expect to find in glamorous Cannes or Miami and compelling should you wish to engage in some people watching and some beach front cafe culture. If we have more time we can Continue our road trip to Legzira Beach. Visit The Best amazing view of coast & sand dunes, mountains in Morocco. Overnight at Agadir Riad / Hotel.
Day 3 : Visit Agadir & Beach – Marrakech ( 252 Km )
Today, We will have free time to Visit Agadir. Afternoon we will highway Agadir to Marrakech. After a total of 3 hours drive with some rest stops on the way while crossing the High Atlas mountains, we will arrive to Marrakech. Overnight at Marrakech Riad / Hotel.
Day 4 : Visit Marrakech & Guided Day trip of Marrakech ( Walking Trip )
Free day in Marrakech to see all Historical places of Marrakech. After breakfast in the riad, you will enjoy a the sites with historical and cultural interest. Including the Koutoubia Menaret; the Saadian tombs; the beautiful Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Finally, end the morning by walking through the medina alleys -getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square.
Lunch at a restaurant near the square, and then in the afternoon visit the gardens at Majorelle, and have a short tour at Gueliz -the new city of Marrakech. After dinner you will have the option to walk through the square entertained by magicians, story-tellers, tooth-pullers and food sellers. Overnight accommodation in your riad.
Day 5 : Marrakech to Ouzoud Waterfalls & Atlas Mountains ( 160 Km )
Start our Day 5 to Ouzoud Waterfalls. Start climbing down the stairs past the many cafes. Right before starting on the stairs, you will have had your first view over the waterfalls, and it will look heavingly. There is another route to get to the base of the waterfalls. More fun but a little bit more challenging, if you are in good shape and have good boots on, definitely take it, incredible views and more monkeys encouters. Not only does it give the best views of the waterfalls and good opportunities for swimming, it is also a place to rest. There are small boats that can take you on a tour.
These boats serve little practical use, since it is easy to walk over to the other side. But they are there for the purpose of charm. This is also the home of the famous macaque monkeys, the naturally tail-less monkeys that you find performing in the main square in Marrakech. It is delightful to see them roaming free in their native habitat. There are several lunchtime restaurants (not included) all of which have spectacular views.
Day 6 : Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades valley ( 331 )
Today, We will go on a Sahara Desert Trip Marrakech to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains. We will make small stops on the way to approach the beautiful landscapes that surround us and see multitude of authentic Berber villages.
In the Ounila Valley we will visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a 13th century fortified village classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We will walk through its beautiful and intricate interior that has been the scene of numerous films. Continuation of the trip to Ouarzazate. We will follow the Valley of the Roses, with stops to take photos until we reach the Dades Valley. In this place, with a singular geology, we will enjoy impressive views. Dinner and overnight in riad.
Day 7 : Dades gorges – Todra gorges – Berber Villages – Tafraoute sidi ali ( 235 )
After breakfast, we will depart from the Dades Valley towards the Todra Gorges, enter the 14 km long Todra Valley and take a pleasant walk through its interior. Then we leave by the road towards the south crossing Berber villages, we will drive by the tracks of the old Rally Paris Dakar and we will arrive at Tafraoute sidi ali ( Our Home town ). Overnight at a Special authentic Riad.
Day 8 : Off road 4×4 Tafraoute – Ramlia – ouzina – Merzouga Desert ( 60 Km Off road )
After breakfast, visit to the village of Ramlia, spend a few moments with the inhabitants, visit the Berber oven and orchards of the village where its inhabitants live. Then we will leave the village and we will go to locate in the desert a nomadic family. Have tea with them and learn something. More about their lives so different from ours and they will make us know the culture of nomads. And how they live in the desert. We will say goodbye to the nomadic family and go to Erg Chebbi in the desert of Merzouga with the 4×4 again by the old track of the Rally Paris Dakar. Before arriving at the village of Merzouga we will pass through the village of Khamlia, the black people of southern Africa, there we will have lunch with “Pizza Bereber” and listen to Gnawa spiritual music.
Now We will go on a camel trek Safari adventure , to our Desert Camp. During the ride we will enjoy the impressive sunset over the large dunes of Erg Chebbi. Once in the camp and after a delicious dinner, you will have the opportunity to attend a traditional Berber music show while observing the firmament in the impressive Sahara desert. Overnight at a Luxury Desert Camp in Merzouga sand dunes.
Day 9 : Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Boulaajoul ( 296 Km )
After watching sunrise in the desert , we continue our private 13 Days trip to Morocco. And we ride camels back to Merzouga Village. Then we drive towards Rissani, Erfoud. We will Visit the Impressive ziz Valley & pass through Tizi N’tlghmt Pass. Then we drive to Midelt in Atlas mountains ( The apple of Morocco ). We can Visit Ahouli ( Read More about Ahouli ). If we have more time ( At Spring or Summer ). Then, Continue to Boulaajoul. Overnight at Kasbah Meteorite Boulaajoul.
Day 10 : Midelt – Cedar forest – Ifrane – Visit Fes ( 159 Km )
Today, Free Morning for rest & We drive to Azrou and Ifrane, famous ski resort. We continue to Fes Arrive afternoon. Visit Fez with local Guide if you are intrested in. overnight stay in local Riad.
Day 11 : Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen ( 197 )
After breakfast in your Riad or Hotel around 8 AM we will start our day toward Chefchaouen (blue city) which is a Morocco popular tourist attraction and welcoming town situated in the Rif Mountains just south of the Mediterranean coastline in northwest Morocco. We will pass by Volubilis & Roman ruins. This nice bleu city is known for its traditional buildings. Enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue washed walls of the medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts.
Day 12 : Chefchaouen – Tetuan – Tangier or Asillah ( 163 Km )
Drive from Chefchaouen via the green lush of the Rif Mountains toward Tangier, an ancient Phoenician town, located at the point where the waters of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic meet. The surrounding mountains provide a magnificent backdrop to this intriguing city, the gateway to Africa from Europe, which has always been an international melting pot.
Take a Morocco trip of Tangier and explore the bustling medina, and city surrounds, and enjoy the stunning vista where the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans meet. After lunch, Continue to a headland about 12km from Tangier, ideal for admiring the Atlantic Ocean. On the way, stop to visit the Hercules Cave. According to legend, this mythical Greek half-god rested here after digging the Strait of Gibraltar. Close by is there restored Roman town of Cotta with ruins of a temple and hot-baths. The tour will include also a stop by Cape Sapartel where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet. Overnight at Assilah or Tangier ( Optional ).
Day 13 : Tangier – Asillah – Rabat – Casablanca ( 298 Km )
