Explore the Moroccan imperial cities and have a desert adventure with our 5 Days Morocco tour itinerary, beginning in Casablanca. We’ll take you on a journey through Rabat, Meknes, Fes, and the Merzouga Desert. Discover the rich culture and history of Morocco as you visit iconic landmarks like the Hassan II Mosque, and explore the cultural treasures of Fes. Your adventure continues with a desert adventure in Merzouga, where you’ll experience a camel trek and overnight glamping under the starry Sahara sky. You’ll also explore the breathtaking Todra Gorges and the historical Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah in Ouarzazate. The tour ends in the vibrant city of Marrakech.
During the first day of our 5-day desert tour from Casablanca, our driver will pick you up from the hotel or airport and start our trip. Our first stop will be the Hassan II Mosque. Then, travel to the capital city of Morocco (Rabat), where you will have free time to discover the Hassan Tower, Rabat Palace, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Kasbah of Oudayas. After we travel to Meknes, you will have time to see Lahdim Square, Bab Mansour, and Moulay Ismail Greenery. After that, head to the other Imperial City of Morocco, the Spiritual City of Morocco (Fes), where you will have an overnight stay in an authentic Riad.
After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Fes, the cultural capital and one of the most important religious centers in the country. Its university is the oldest in the world. A guided tour will be organized for you to the old Medina, the oldest and most beautiful in Morocco, almost unchanged since the Middle Ages and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bab Boujloud or the Blue Gate of Fez, is the entrance to Medina, which looks like a labyrinth of streets and alleyways. In the middle lie the Kairouine mosque and university, which you will visit along with the Madrasa Bouanania, the tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain.
After that, we will leave Medina to visit the Jewish quarter “the Mellah”, and the Royal Palace gate. In the afternoon, we drive towards Midelt for around 2 hours; on our way, we will have a stop in Ifrane known as the Switzerland of Morocco, then go to the Cedar Forest to see the monkeys. We will reach our hotel in the middle of the Atlas Mountains in the evening, have an overnight stay, and be ready for the next day.
Today, we will travel to the Sahara desert via the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley, one of the largest palm groves & oases in southern Morocco. Our 5 Days Morocco tour from Casablanca goes on to Erfoud, famous for its fossil museums and factories.
Arriving in the Merzouga desert, you will experience camel trekking into the orange sand dunes in order to reach our Berber Merzouga Desert Camp. A break on top of the dune to enjoy a breathtaking sunset is included in your camel trekking desert trip. Enjoy the views, take pictures, and test the sandboarding.
After that, you’ll continue to the camp where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of tea and relax until dinner time. After dinner, there will be some traditional Berber drumming music, shooting stars, a campfire, and a chance to talk about cultures and histories with nomads.
The sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes will be spectacular, so be sure to get up early to see it. After a morning meal and shower at the desert camp, you’ll be returned to Merzouga Village by camel or 4×4. We will take the car to Rissani, where we will visit a fossil museum and stroll around the town’s historic market.
The journey then continues on to many more Berber villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, and Jourf, a village that is famous for its ancient irrigation wells. We’ll next move on to Todra Valley and the towering 300-meter-tall canyons of the Todra gorges. The force of the water may indeed find its way between the cracks in the rocks. We will have a walk inside the gorge, then continue to Dades Valley where we will spend the night.
Today, after breakfast, we will travel from Dades Valley to Ouarzazate via the Thousands Kasbah road, sakura Oasis, and Roses Valley. After 27 km of the road, we will reach Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has been used as a backdrop for shooting numerous Hollywood Movies including “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladiator”, “Kingdom of Heaven”, “Prince of Persia” and much more… The Kasbahs (fortresses) reflect the Exotic Moroccan architecture & culture. After exploring the kasbah, we will continue a little further on the High Atlas Mountains through the “Tichka pass” which will lead us to Marrakech, where our 5 days in Morocco itinerary, Imperial cities, and desert Tour experience ends.

A tailor-made and flexible tour, with carefully chosen locations, hotels and restaurants. Rely on them if you want to make an AUTHENTIC journey!❤️VerifiedJo G2024-08-20Perfectly organised trip - Desert Discovery Tours highly recommended I usually research and book every aspect of our trips, so it was with some trepidation that I let Desert Discovery Tours handle our entire itinerary in Morrocco. I needn’t have worried as everything was fantastic – from the lovely boutique hotels, riads and luxury desert camp to the incredible sites, interesting and informative tours, and comfortable private van (with AC). We flew into Tangier for a 10-day tour of northern Morocco, including Chefchaouen, Fes, the Sahara Desert, the Atlas Mountains, and Marrakesh. Mustafa was very responsive in the run up to the vacation and from the minute Mustafa picked us up from the airport, everything ran like clockwork. Our driver, Mustafa (# 2), couldn’t have been more accommodating. Desert Discovery Tours is a small family run business and it shows in their attention to detail and their attitude to customer service. Highly recommended.Verifiednidep2024-08-20An authentic and unforgettable experience in Morocco Our trip to Morocco was truly one of the most authentic experiences you can live. Thanks to this agency, we had the opportunity to discover the real Morocco, living like locals and fully immersing ourselves in the culture of the country. Special thanks go to Mustapha, our Guide. At first he was simply our Guide, but soon became a real member of the group. With his in-depth knowledge of the territory and his welcoming character, he made the trip even more special. He accompanied us at every stage, always making us feel at ease and transmitting the love for his land. The facilities we stayed in were excellent, perfectly in line with the atmosphere of the trip and always comfortable. The organized experiences were also extraordinary, allowing us to discover every aspect of Morocco, from its breathtaking landscapes to its most intimate traditions. I strongly Recommendation everyone to experience Morocco with this agency. It was a unique experience that will remain forever in our hearts.VerifiedScenic550275414602024-08-19A TRIP OF A LIFETIME! I recently travelled through Morocco with Desert Discovery Tours, and I highly recommend their services. I had organised an 18-day personalised trip, a second honeymoon, together with Mustapha, From the beginning, the team was welcoming and professional, making the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. The itinerary was well-organized, striking a good balance between popular attractions and lesser-known spots. Accommodations were comfortable and met our expectations, and driver/guide (Mustapha) provided insightful information about Morocco's history and culture. We appreciated the careful planning and attention to detail, which made the journey stress-free. Exploring the Medina’s and souks of MOST cites including Marrakech, the historic sites in Fes, and the Sahara Desert were all highlights of the trip. Our absolute favourite city was Chefchaouen, Desert Discovery Tours ensured that everything, from transportation to meals, was well taken care of, allowing us to focus on enjoying the experience. IF you however have food allergies or intolerances, I suggest that you get more support, the Riad and Hotels struggled with supporting me, maybe take your own snacks! If you're considering a trip to Morocco, Desert Discovery Tours is a reliable choice. They offer a well-rounded travel experience that allows you to see the best of the country without any hassle.VerifiedF**2024-08-18Amazing It was an incredible experience. In 13 days leaving Marrakech we visited the desert, the mountains, the north and the coast to Casablanca. Our companion, Mr. Brahim was very kind and helpful, always very attentive to every need and considerate, worried that everything for us was perfect. All accommodations were comfortable and we had local guides in the cities, we also stayed in a Desert Resort for one night and then, the next day, with an off-road vehicle we went to discover its places. We have hearts full of every encounter made, every image seen and food tasted. The organization was impeccable and attentive to our needs to spend a few days in tranquility at the sea.
