Explore the Moroccan imperial cities and have a desert adventure with our 5 Days Morocco tour itinerary, beginning in Casablanca. We’ll take you on a journey through Rabat, Meknes, Fes, and the Merzouga Desert. Discover the rich culture and history of Morocco as you visit iconic landmarks like the Hassan II Mosque, and explore the cultural treasures of Fes. Your adventure continues with a desert adventure in Merzouga, where you’ll experience a camel trek and overnight glamping under the starry Sahara sky. You’ll also explore the breathtaking Todra Gorges and the historical Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah in Ouarzazate. The tour ends in the vibrant city of Marrakech.

During the first day of our 5-day desert tour from Casablanca, our driver will pick you up from the hotel or airport and start our trip. Our first stop will be the Hassan II Mosque. Then, travel to the capital city of Morocco (Rabat), where you will have free time to discover the Hassan Tower, Rabat Palace, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Kasbah of Oudayas. After we travel to Meknes, you will have time to see Lahdim Square, Bab Mansour, and Moulay Ismail Greenery. After that, head to the other Imperial City of Morocco, the Spiritual City of Morocco (Fes), where you will have an overnight stay in an authentic Riad.
After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Fes, the cultural capital and one of the most important religious centers in the country. Its university is the oldest in the world. A guided tour will be organized for you to the old Medina, the oldest and most beautiful in Morocco, almost unchanged since the Middle Ages and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bab Boujloud or the Blue Gate of Fez, is the entrance to Medina, which looks like a labyrinth of streets and alleyways. In the middle lie the Kairouine mosque and university, which you will visit along with the Madrasa Bouanania, the tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain.
After that, we will leave Medina to visit the Jewish quarter “the Mellah”, and the Royal Palace gate. In the afternoon, we drive towards Midelt for around 2 hours; on our way, we will have a stop in Ifrane known as the Switzerland of Morocco, then go to the Cedar Forest to see the monkeys. We will reach our hotel in the middle of the Atlas Mountains in the evening, have an overnight stay, and be ready for the next day.
Today, we will travel to the Sahara desert via the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley, one of the largest palm groves & oases in southern Morocco. Our 5 Days Morocco tour from Casablanca goes on to Erfoud, famous for its fossil museums and factories.
Arriving in the Merzouga desert, you will experience camel trekking into the orange sand dunes in order to reach our Berber Merzouga Desert Camp. A break on top of the dune to enjoy a breathtaking sunset is included in your camel trekking desert trip. Enjoy the views, take pictures, and test the sandboarding.
After that, you’ll continue to the camp where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of tea and relax until dinner time. After dinner, there will be some traditional Berber drumming music, shooting stars, a campfire, and a chance to talk about cultures and histories with nomads.
The sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes will be spectacular, so be sure to get up early to see it. After a morning meal and shower at the desert camp, you’ll be returned to Merzouga Village by camel or 4×4. We will take the car to Rissani, where we will visit a fossil museum and stroll around the town’s historic market.
The journey then continues on to many more Berber villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, and Jourf, a village that is famous for its ancient irrigation wells. We’ll next move on to Todra Valley and the towering 300-meter-tall canyons of the Todra gorges. The force of the water may indeed find its way between the cracks in the rocks. We will have a walk inside the gorge, then continue to Dades Valley where we will spend the night.
Today, after breakfast, we will travel from Dades Valley to Ouarzazate via the Thousands Kasbah road, sakura Oasis, and Roses Valley. After 27 km of the road, we will reach Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has been used as a backdrop for shooting numerous Hollywood Movies including “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladiator”, “Kingdom of Heaven”, “Prince of Persia” and much more… The Kasbahs (fortresses) reflect the Exotic Moroccan architecture & culture. After exploring the kasbah, we will continue a little further on the High Atlas Mountains through the “Tichka pass” which will lead us to Marrakech, where our 5 days in Morocco itinerary, Imperial cities, and desert Tour experience ends.

Thanks to our guide IbrahimPosted on Lance KVerified 9-day tour through Morocco We did a custom 9-day private tour starting in Marrakech, through Dades valley then the deserts near Merzouga, continuing to Fes, Chefchaouen, and ending in Rabat/Casablanca, with stops along the way. Highlight was camping in the Sahara desert -- riding camels through the sands to reach the campsite, feeling the soft orange sands run through your fingers, listening to the drums by the fire under the stars -- it was quite the sensory experience. Our guide/driver Hsaine / Hassan was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable in many subject matters, able to converse in multiple languages. Highly recommended.Posted on Maria Teresa LVerified Unforgettable 8 days starting from Marrakech, then several stops to Fez. Then Casablanca for the last day.
