Fes to Marrakech 3 Days Desert Tour Itinerary:

Day 1:Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Fores - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga desert (Camel rides & Overnight in a desert camp)

The 1st journey during our 3 days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech will take us on the way to the Sahara, we will visit plenty of attractions like Ifrane, known as “Moroccan Switzerland”. We’ll stop at the Cedar forest to see the monkeys swing among the trees. Then go south through the vast palm groves and oasis towns of southern Morocco’s Ziz valley, reached through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Then continue to the city of Erfoud, known for its fossil museums and dates.
 
Once we arrive in the Merzouga Desert, we will go on a camel ride adventure, where we will experience a mystical sunset over erg Chebbi dunes. After sunset, we will have dinner and spend the night in the heart of the Sahara desert in Morocco staying at a Merzouga luxury desert camp, beneath a magnificently clear and starry sky. After dinner, we will have fun at a Berber party set to the rhythm of drums and overnight stay.

Day 2:Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Berber Villages - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

On the 2nd day of our 3 day trip from Fes to Marrakech, the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes will be spectacular, so be sure to get up early to see it. After a morning meal and shower at the desert camp, you’ll be returned to Merzouga Village by camel or 4×4. We’ll get in the car and head to Rissani, where we’ll check out a fossil museum and stroll around the town’s historic market.

The journey then continues to many more Berber villages, including Mellab, Tinjdad, and Jourf, a village that is famous for its ancient irrigation wells. We’ll next move on to Todra Valley and the towering 300-meter-tall canyons of the Todra gorges. The force of the water may indeed find its way between the cracks in the rocks. We will have a walk inside the gorge, then continue to Dades Valley where we will spend the 2nd day of our Marrakech to Fes desert tour. 

Day 3:Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - HIgh Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

Today, we’ll take a trip to Ouarzazate, passing via the Roses Valley and the Skoura oasis on our way to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, located 27 kilometers outside of Ouarzazate. Innumerable Hollywood films—”Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many more—have taken advantage of its stunning landscapes for filming. The fortified palaces known as Kasbahs are emblematic of the exotic architecture and culture of Morocco.

After we have finished seeing the kasbah, we will go across the “Tichka pass” in the Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakech where our Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days ends.
