On the first day of our 6 Days desert tour from Marrakech, you’ll meet your private driver/guide and embark on a drive through the High Atlas Mountains. The scenery is stunning, and if you’re a photography enthusiast, you can make stops to capture the beauty. Along the road, you’ll pass through charming Berber villages before reaching the Kasbah of Telouat, where you will have free time to explore this authentic attraction.

Afterward, you’ll continue your journey to Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous sites, a remarkably well-preserved medieval village that has been featured in numerous blockbuster movies such as “Babel,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” and “Prince of Persia.” The Kasbah has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Following this, you’ll hit the road again and head to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert and a favored backdrop for film and TV productions, including “Gladiator” and “The Jewel of the Nile.” Once we reach there, you will have time to explore the Atlas Studio before checking in to your hotel, and you’ll have some time to relax before dinner.

After breakfast, we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah. Then, we’ll depart in the direction of Tafraoute Sidi Ali, crossing the mountains of the Anti-Atlas and passing through the pass of Tizi N’Tinifift at 1,600 meters elevation. Passing by the Draa Valley, we will see various Berber villages and Kasbahs along the road. Leaving behind the towns of Nkob, Tazarine, and Alnif, we will take another track that crosses the lost towns of Morocco and Paris Dakar off-road until we reach Tafraoute. Once we reach there, we will go to one of the orange sand dunes to enjoy an incredible sunset, afterward, we will head towards the hotel for an overnight stay.

Prepare for an adventure as we delve into the captivating dunes and desert landscapes through the south of Morocco including plenty of rural villages: Ramlia, Ouzina, Khamlia… Our 4×4 Morocco discovery tour will lead us to the Merzouga desert.

A caravan of camels is waiting to offer you the ultimate experience in the Erg Chebbi dunes as we proceed to the Sahara desert Merzouga. The camel ride will be around 2H with a sunset break, allowing you to hike through the captivating Merzouga sand dunes. During the journey to the Merzouga desert camp, you will have ample time to enjoy the sunset amidst the vastness of the Sahara. You can also try Sandboarding (optional)

Once you arrive at your destination, a warm welcome with tea and smiles awaits you. Following a delicious dinner, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere by the campfire, accompanied by the mesmerizing music of Berbers and the gentle presence of camels under the starry night sky. The adventure concludes with an overnight stay in the desert camp.

The next day of our tour, you’ll rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Following breakfast and a refreshing shower at the desert camp, we’ll set out to explore the Merzouga desert, a region filled with remarkable sights, including sand dunes, pristine lakes, mining areas, and sites with prehistoric fossils, as well as stunning oases.

Our journey begins in Merzouga, where we’ll have the opportunity to visit nomadic families in their traditional tents. This provides a unique chance to immerse yourself in Berber culture, gaining insights into their way of life while savoring Berber tea in their authentic tents and experiencing the warm hospitality of the locals. Our next stop will be the Khamlia village, known for its captivating Gnaoua music and dance performances. The village’s residents hail from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Following this, we’ll break for lunch.

Afterward, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the palm tree groves of Hassi Lbied Oasis. Finally, we’ll conclude our desert exploration and return to your hotel, where you will enjoy an overnight stay.

Today, during the 5th day of our 6 Days Morocco Discovery Tour we will head to Rissani, where we’ll stroll around the town and its historic market.

There are many more Berber villages that are famous for their ancient irrigation wells, including Mellab, Tinjdad, and Jourf. We’ll next move on to Todra Valley and the towering 300-meter-tall canyons of the Todra gorges. The force of the water may indeed find its way between the cracks in the rocks. We will have a walk inside the gorge, then continue to Dades Valley where we will spend the overnight stay. 

Today, we will drive towards Marrakech including multiple stops along the road We will drive via the road of Thousand Kasbahs, and Roses Valley, a visit to Skoura oases with its authentic 17-century kasbah. Then, we will drive back through the High Atlas Mountains until we reach Marrakech where will finish our 6 Days tour from Marrakech to the Sahara desert itinerary.
