We will travel across the High Atlas Mountains, where we will discover majestic Berber villages disguised in the landscape. Then we will continue to Ait Ben Haddou. We will climb until we reach the top of the Kasbah, which has a nice panoramic view. The Kasbah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The location has been utilized as a backdrop for numerous Hollywood films, including “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladiator”, “Kingdom of Heaven”, “Prince of Persia” and innumerable others. The Kasbahs (fortresses) reflect Moroccan architecture & culture. After exploring the kasbah, we will continue our road to Ouarzazate.
Then, we will continue our journey across the road of thousands of Kasbahs and Oasis to see a huge valley with a small oasis and hundreds of ancient fortifications. We will reach the Rose Valley. After a 50-minute drive, we will arrive at our destination, Boumalne Dades, where we will spend the night in an authentic lodge with dinner and breakfast.
We begin our expedition towards Todra Gorge by traveling through the enchanting Berber villages. Along the way, we’ll pause to appreciate the stunning Todra Valley, a landscape abundant with palm trees. Our ultimate destination is Todra Gorges, a renowned hub for rock climbing in Morocco. Here, we’ll take a brief stroll through the towering gray and pink canyons.
Following our walk inside the Todra Gorges, we’ll head to Tinjdad and Touroug, where we’ll break for a satisfying lunch. Our journey then continues to Erfoud, which marks the commencement of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet.
Afterward, we’ll press on toward the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival, you’ll go on an approximately 1.5-hour camel ride to reach the desert camp. During this camel trek, you’ll have the opportunity to pause amid the dunes to witness a captivating sunset, try out sandboarding if you wish, capture memorable photographs, and immerse yourself in the breathtaking desert landscape. As the sun sets, we’ll make our way to the camp, where you’ll be greeted with a refreshing glass of mint tea.
Your evening at the Merzouga desert camp will include a delectable dinner, a comforting campfire, lively music, and the chance to spend the night beneath the starry desert sky.
Following an early morning, you’ll have the opportunity to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Later, you can choose to return to the village via either a camel ride or a 4WD jeep, depending on your preference.
Our journey will then take us to the city of Fes, with a route that includes passing through Errachidia city. On the way, we’ll make a stop at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Ziz Valley. Continuing our trip, we’ll head to Midelt for lunch, and from there, we’ll traverse the Cedar Forest, where you can spot the Barbary macaque and explore the vast cedar forest. Our next destination is Ifrane, where we’ll enjoy a brief visit to the city. Afterward, we’ll resume our journey toward Fes City.
You will spend the day on a guided tour of Fez, the cultural capital and one of the world’s most well-preserved medieval Islamic cities. Explore the Andalusian neighborhood and its beautiful mosque by entering through Bab Ftouh. Go to Seffarine via the areas of tanning, dyeing, and copper production.
The oldest mosque in Africa is located on the grounds of the University of Al-Karaouine. Take a moment to rest in front of Idris I’s tomb, the man credited with founding Fes. You must see the famous fountain in Nejjarine whenever you visit the area. Lastly, stop by the stunning Nejjarine Museum of Wood Arts and Crafts. In the afternoon, you will visit the Attarine Medersa.
We will continue exploring the medina and halt in front of the “blue Gate” of Fes, Bab Boujouloud. Stop at Borj Norj on your tour of the city walls for a breathtaking panorama of the medina below. Learn about the history of the area once inhabited by Jews and see the outside of the Imperial Palace. The pottery neighborhood is up next. Next, on the outskirts of the city, you’ll visit an artisanal complex before heading back to your Riad.
Today, we will head towards the blue city of Chefchaouen through the Rif Mountains. On our way, we will have time to discover the Roman ruins of Volubilis. After that, we will start our journey. Upon arrival in the city of Chefchaouen, you will have free time to discover the best places to visit, eat, and see.

We were looking for a bit of adventure and lots of wonder and we found much more than that. Morocco is a fascinating land, with a very strong history and culture, but it would not have been the same without the perfect and precise organization of the guys of Desert Discovery Tours. Thanks to Mustapha prima and Ibrahim (our companion for the duration of the trip) we were able to live a full and deep and authentic and immersive experience. Ibrahim, in particular, gave us a hand in everything: in addition to accompanying us for the duration of the trip, he advised us, helped us, became a full-fledged travel companion and also a dear friend.I highly recommend this experience with their help and professionalism. The quality of your trip will be much better. Nils H2025-05-25Verified Fantastic Tour of Morocco! Mustapha and his team organized a very nice tour for us, taking into account all of our wishes. The organization was excellent, from start to finish. Our guide and driver, Hassan, was incredible. Not only was he very nice and welcoming, he was also extremely knowledgeable. This made the trip a next-level experience. Not only did we get to see a lot of Morocco, we also had a lot of fun along the way.We followed our pre-planned tour, but as our guide and driver, Hassan got to know us better, he took us on small spontaneous activities along the route based on our interests and questions during the trip. This made it feel like a personally tailored experience. From Fez to Chefchaouen to Marrakech, each city had its own flair and appeal, but an unforgettable highlight was the time spent in the desert. The dunes, stars, and sense of calmness there are just unique.Thank you again, Hassan and DDT, for making this trip unforgettable.Matilda and Nils marica m2025-05-24Verified An extraordinary ten-day experience for the whole of Morocco. We were a group of six girls and our journey began in Marrakech. Upon our arrival at the airport we found our guide, Ibrahim, an extraordinary person who was with us throughout the trip. After visiting the Medina of Marrakech, with its markets, herbalist’s shops and Koranic school, our journey continued to the high-Atlas Mountains, the Unesco World Heritage Site Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades Valley. The next day, we moved to the Todra Gorges and then to the Merzouga Desert. Here we took a sunset walk on the dromedaries, participated in the Berber festival around the bonfire, admired the stars from the dunes and then saw the sun rise over them. A magical experience. The next day we did the quad bike ride on the dunes and Sandboarding, one of the funniest days of my life. After this experience, we stopped in Midelt, and then left for Ifrane and the cedar forest, populated by many monkeys. The next day was entirely dedicated to discovering the city of Fes, its markets, tannery and all the workshops of artisans and potters. We then continued our tour to Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of Morocco, then headed to Rabat and finally Casablanca. We spent the last day again in Marrakech, dq we left to return to Italy. It was a wonderful trip, organized with care and attention. Thank you for this Mustapha and the Desert Discovery Tour agency, for your availability and for the work done. A special thanks to Ibrahim, who was always with us on this trip, who satisfied our every need, recommending places to visit and places to eat and buy. It was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever. Thank you. Marzia L2025-05-24Verified Amazing experience!! My friends and I went on a 10 day tour and it was an amazing experience!! The agency organized a great tour that allowed us to visit both the most famous cities such as Marrakech, Fes, Rabat, Casablanca, Chefchaouen, but also smaller and quaint villages!I was really enraptured by the natural landscapes of the Great Atlas, Dedas Valley, Ait-Ben-Haddou, Cedar Forest (with too cute monkeys) and the Desert. The desert experience was really exciting and fun, with the camel ride, the quad bike ride, the sunset and in the evening a big party together with the Berbers and their traditional music! We really enjoyed the agency, which really thought of everything, also booking really nice Riads and a special thanks goes to the guide Ibrahim, a competent and helpful person, allowed us to discover magical places while giving us real gems about its culture! Thank you for the immense work! Vittoria V2025-05-21Verified An exciting adventure in southern Morocco! A wonderful experience! We left Marrakech and, passing through Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, we explored the dunes of Merzouga, the Todra Gorges and the valleys of Dades. The experience of walking with dromedaries and climbing dunes at sunset was amazing, as was the ride with quods. The night in the desert, with the stars shining above us and traditional Moroccan music, was magical. Our guide, Hassan, was fantastic: his knowledge of the region and his hospitality made every moment of our trip a unique experience, and the tour was perfectly organized, from the stops to the beautiful Riads we stayed in!The guided tour then of Marrakech at the end of the trip, getting lost in its souks, allowed us to appreciate even more the history and culture of this incredible city. A big thank you to Hassan and the organization of Desert Discovery Tours for making us live an unforgettable adventure, super recommended! noemi r2025-05-21Verified Amazing 5 days experience in Morocco An incredible trip to the South of Morocco! We started from Marrakesh and walked the dirt roads of Ouarzazate, and Merzouga, immersed in breathtaking desert landscapes. The experience of riding quad bikes and riding dromedaries in the desert was unforgettable. The night under the stars, around the campfire, with music and songs from the desert, was magical. The gorges of the Todra and Dades have left us breathless for their beauty and grandeur. The return to Marrakesh was accompanied by a guided tour of the city, which allowed us to appreciate its history and culture even more. But what made this trip truly special was our guide Hassan.
