Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival, your private driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel or riad in the city, marking the beginning of your 12 Days Marrakech Morocco Tour. After check-in, take some time to settle in and refresh after your journey.
Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a leisurely walk through the nearby streets or explore the medina at your own pace. Marrakech is an ideal starting point for discovering Morocco, offering a fascinating blend of historic architecture, traditional markets, beautiful gardens, and a vibrant atmosphere.
After breakfast, begin a full-day guided tour of Marrakech with a private local guide. Explore some of the city’s most important historic and cultural sites, including Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Koutoubia Mosque.
Continue into the medina and explore its narrow streets, traditional souks, artisan workshops, and lively squares. You will have the opportunity to see local craftsmen working with leather, metal, textiles, and other traditional materials.
In the afternoon, continue exploring the souks before visiting Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakech’s famous central square. Your guide will provide insight into the city’s history, architecture, traditions, and daily life.
Leave Marrakech and begin your journey toward the Dades Valley. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with opportunities to stop and enjoy panoramic views of the mountain landscapes and traditional villages along the way.
Continue toward the historic Ait Ben Haddou area, where you can explore the famous fortified kasbah and learn about the region’s architectural heritage. The route then continues toward Ouarzazate, often known for its connection with the Moroccan film industry.
Continue through the Skoura palm oasis and along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before reaching the Dades Valley. The landscape changes dramatically as you approach the valley, with rocky mountains, winding roads, and impressive geological formations.
Continue your journey toward the Sahara Desert. Drive through the Todgha Valley and stop at the spectacular Todgha Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise on both sides of the narrow canyon.
Take some time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the surrounding scenery before continuing through traditional villages and desert landscapes.
Proceed toward Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival, begin your camel trek across the golden sands of the Sahara. Ride through the dunes as the sun begins to set, then arrive at your desert camp.
Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by local music around the campfire. Spend the night in your desert camp surrounded by the Sahara.
Wake early to experience sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, explore the desert region around Merzouga and discover the different landscapes and communities that surround the Sahara.
Visit local villages and learn more about desert life and traditional culture. Depending on the day’s arrangements, you may also have time to explore the dunes and surrounding desert areas. Return to your accommodation in the Merzouga area and enjoy a relaxed evening in the desert.
Leave Merzouga and begin the journey north toward Fes. Travel through the Ziz Valley, known for its extensive palm groves and oasis landscapes, before continuing through the changing scenery of eastern Morocco.
The route then climbs toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Pass through Midelt and continue toward Azrou, where you can stop in the cedar forests and observe the local Barbary macaques.
Continue to Ifrane, a mountain town known for its distinctive architecture and alpine setting, before reaching Fes in the evening.
After breakfast, meet your private guide for a full-day exploration of Fes. Enter the historic medina of Fes el-Bali and walk through its narrow streets, traditional markets, artisan quarters, and historic neighborhoods.
Visit important sites and landmarks while learning about the city’s history and cultural heritage. Explore traditional workshops where local craftspeople continue techniques passed down through generations.
Continue through the old Jewish quarter, Mellah, and visit panoramic viewpoints for a wider view of Fes and its historic medina. The guided tour provides an opportunity to understand the city’s architecture, traditions, craftsmanship, and role in Moroccan history.
Leave Fes after breakfast and travel north toward Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains.
Upon arrival, begin exploring the famous blue-painted medina. Walk through its narrow streets and small squares, where blue walls, traditional doors, local shops, and mountain views create a distinctive setting.
Take time to explore the old town at your own pace, visit local artisan shops, and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal at one of the restaurants or cafés overlooking the medina. The afternoon provides free time to photograph the town and discover its quieter streets.
Leave Chefchaouen and continue toward Tangier, one of Morocco’s most important northern cities. Upon arrival, explore Tangier’s historic medina and old town. Walk through its traditional streets and discover the city’s unique position overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar.
Continue to the Kasbah area and enjoy views across the surrounding coastline. Depending on your schedule, you can also visit Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules before returning to the city. Spend the evening enjoying Tangier’s cafés, restaurants, and coastal atmosphere.

Morocco, a surprising trip It was a beautiful and perfectly organized trip. From the very first contact, Mustapha was helpful and ready to resolve any difficulty with precision and fairness. We were lucky to have Brahim as our guide, a kind, reliable, very professional, and truly helpful person. He looked after us even from a distance, when we went into the desert and when he left us in Marrakech. The desert was also very evocative. Morocco was a great surprise, a variety of landscapes that I really didn't expect. Thank you for the beautiful stay, which I highly recommend organizing with DDT.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Flexible 11 day tour with a great tour guide group The 6 of us had the pleasure of having this tour group with Mustapha take us around Morocco for almost 11 days. He was exceptional in every detail. No job was too small for him and he was always available when needed. He also arranged wonderful historical tours with guides in specific cities as part of the tour. Highly recommend. We actually traveled from Marrakech to Casablanca, so the tour was in reverse.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

An unforgettable experience! Our 3-day Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech with DDT was simply fantastic. The organization was flawless, the itinerary was perfectly designed, and the places we visited were absolutely stunning. From the breathtaking Atlas Mountains to the magical Sahara dunes, every moment felt like a dream. A special thank you goes to our guide, Brahim, who was outstanding throughout the entire trip. His professionalism, friendliness, and deep knowledge of Moroccan culture made the experience even more enjoyable. The fact that he also spoke Italian was a huge plus and made us feel at home from the very beginning. Brahim went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time, always with a smile and great attention to detail. He truly made the difference. We would not hesitate to recommend DDT and especially Brahim to anyone planning a desert tour in Morocco. Thank you for an incredible adventure and memories that will last a lifetime!
